"2015 Jinju Namgang Yudeung (Latern) Festival" Travel

 Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival is one of the biggest festival of the year in Gyeongnam. In previous years the entrance fee was free, but this year there was a charge of 10,000 won ticket per person.
Right after entering the festival spot...

 Grand fireworks begin to fly into the air~!

 It was a truly a beauty.

                             

 After enjoying the fireworks show, beautiful lantern tunnels could be seen right at the entrance.

So many people enjoyed taking pictures with so many lanterns. All these lanterns were hung by the visitors. 

There was a boat-riding experience as well where you could take a close look at the lanterns floating above waters. Charge was 5,000 won 

 Here, many were waiting for their turns to ride the boat.

 The lanterns were of different characters and design and all showed such as beautiful colors at night.

 There was a small stage above waters where artists were singing and playing instruments.

 Street vendors were selling food as well as light sticks for the visitor.

 There was interpretation center to guide foreigners at the festival. From English, Chinese and other languages were available.

 At the street everybody was making a small lantern to float it above water.

 Here at a corner, people floated their lanterns above water.

 There were more than hundreds of lantern works to be seen.

 After taking a walk people enjoyed the foods selling on the street. People sat on the chairs and waited for the foods they ordered. 

 People were crossing the river by a built bridge to see the other attractions on opposite sides.

 On the opposite side of the river, a beautiful fountain was shooting up in the air with the light and music.

 There were more character lanterns here from all sorts of hero and cute characters.
