A bus trip to Gyeongnam, the warmest spring of all -Bus routes to Gyeongnam in a glace

You can reach anywhere in Korea within a day of travel, thanks to the sophisticated traffic system.

It takes no longer than five hours to get to Gyeongnam, where you can relish the natural landscape and experience the more exotic side of Korea you've never tasted in the capital of Seoul. Here are some guidelines on riding a bus to the southern regions.

▶ From the Incheon International Airport

Head straight to Gyeongnam from the Incheon International Airport, where you can purchase bus tickets at the information center near the No. 4 and 9 indoor exits, and No. 4, 6, 7, 8, 13 and 9C outdoor exits. 

There are many buses that leave for Changwon, the largest city in Gyeongnam. Some make a stopover in Songdo District, Incheon or Jinju, and late-night rides are prepared as well. For more information, call 1577-2600.

▶ From Seoul

There are five express bus terminals in Seoul, of which three sells tickets to Gyeongnam: the East Seoul Bus Terminal, Seoul Express Bus Terminal and Seoul Nambu Bus Terminal. 

The East Seoul Bus Terminal located in Gwangjin District has the most routes headed for Gyeongnam. From there, you can reach to Geochang-gun, Namhae-gun, Sancheong-gun, Ulju-gun, Uiryeong-gun, Changnyeong-gun, Hamyang-gun and Yangsan. 

If you're planning to travel to Changwon or Jinju, there are plenty of options at the East Seoul Bus Terminal, including the Changwon Naeseo Express Bus Terminal, Masan Express Bus Terminal, Jinju Express Bus Terminal, Changwon Station Express Bus Terminal and Changwon Bus Terminal. The Seoul Express Bus Terminal located in Banpo-dong, Seocho District provides bus rides to the Gimhae Intercity Bus Terminal, Changwon Naeseo Express Bus Terminal, Masan Express Bus Terminal, Jinju Express Bus Terminal and Tongyeong Bus Terminal. 

The Seoul Nambu Bus Terminal located right next to the Seoul Express Bus Terminal has plenty of buses that head to Goseong-gun, Namhae-gun and Jinju, as well.

▶ Bus terminals from other metropolitan areas and ways to make online reservations
You can also travel to Gyeongnam from other metropolitan areas such as Suwon and Ansan. In Osan, Suwon, Ansan and Bucheon, buses headed to Gimhae are available six times a day, to Yangsan are available three times, to Tongyeong are available two times, and to Hamyang are available seven times. There are four buses that head to Gimhae from the Seongnam Bus Terminal, too.
