Korea's postwar export-fueled economic growth, also known as the Miracle on the Han River, has given birth to the some of the world's largest corporations like Samsung and LG in just half a century. K-pop and K-drama, in their parts, are newly paving way for the peninsula's soft power, too.

For a taste of Korea, welcome to the southern port city of Busan, where the ocean never sleeps. Korea's second-largest city greets you with the world's largest department store, the Sinsegae Centum City.

the shopping center is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.>

The world's largest shopping center is filled with a spa, skating rink, snack bars and more.

For Chinese directions, go to the information desk on the first floor near the entrance. A guide will hand you a Chinese booklet and explain all about the City. For a special tour, register beforehand.

Also, don't miss the coupon books specially distributed to Chinese tourists only.

The luxury goods corner on the first and second floors have brands like Chanel, and skin consultation is provided at the makeup corner.

Each floor is intricately subdivided into various zones such as men's wear, women's wear, outdoor wear, golf, children and lingerie.

The City is used for multiple purposes other than shopping, and the Spa Land, ice rink and theme park are only a few.

Located at the first floor of the City, Spa Land is equipped with 22 hot tubs and 13 themed jjimjilbangs, or dry saunas. The Entertainment Zone inside the Spa Land is composed of rest areas, cafes and restaurants.

<Getting hungry? Grab a bite at the Food Market!>

The Ice Rink stationed on the fourth floor is bustling year-round with crowds of skaters. After a few laps around the rink, why not grab a bite at the Food Market, where you can pick and choose from a variety of options?

The Jurassic Park, a family theme park that sits on the ninth floor of the City, is renowned as Korea's first outdoor theme park in a department store.

Open between 10:30 a.m. and 10 p.m., the Jurassic Park is composed of five different zones, which are the African Village, Pirate Ship, Water Drop Garden, Dinosaur's Land and Baobab Forest. To catch a bird's eye view of the City, visit the Water Drop Garden or Pirate Ship.

For other options of excitement when visiting the southern regions, stop by Tongyeong, also dubbed Korea's Naples. The port-city is recently gaining popularity after the SBS drama "My Love from the Star" showed scenes of Jangsado Sea Park.
