# Hakdong Mongdol Beach

Located in Geoje, Gyeongnam, Hakdong Mongdol Beach is renowned as one of the most beautiful beaches of Korea at a length of 1.2 km with a 50m-long width.

The greatest features of this beach is that it is flanked by mountains and the water is clear. Most of all, the soothing sound of waves hitting the black pebbles sprawled on the beach is a natural comfort you'll find nowhere else.

The natural sounds of Hakdong Mongdol Beach is what makes it so special, of which the black pebbles take great part. In fact, it was once chosen as one of the most beautiful sounds of Korea.

But make sure you prepare a pair of slippers when making a visit to the beach, because your feet might get hurt by the rocks.

# Bijin Island Coral Beach

Bijin Island means an existence as precious as a pearl. It takes about 40 minutes to reach the island from Tongyeong Ferry Terminal, and three rides are provided each day, with an additional three rides during peak season.

Bijin Island is actually divided into two different areas by a single road. On one side, there's a black pebble beach, and on the other, the Coral Beach. Such matter of topography is actually what makes the perfect photo shoot if you're there to capture some rare scenes.

Bijin Island is the perfect venue to relax and have fun due in part to its agreeable features. The water is clear, warm and shallow, and the sand is quite soft. There's also several large rocks fishers can enjoy their hobby.

# Tongyeong Public Beach

Tongyeong Public Beach is a very petite beach frequented by families on a summer outing. Water is shallow and tide is low, which characteristics make the venue especially enjoyable for young children. Visitors usually walk barefoot on the soft sand and look far into the ocean for a spectacular view of islands scattered across the horizon.

In Autumn, the beach hosts numerous summer sport events like the Women's World Beach Volleyball Championships and the Sepak Takraw World Championships, too.

A special treat for bikers is a cycling trail stretched along the shore.
