Two Chinese leave for a luxurious trip to the Hilton Namhae Golf and Spa Resort

Two Chinese leave for a luxurious trip to the Hilton Namhae Golf and Spa Resort

Living in a different county away from your family is harder than it may sound, especially when you're barely informed of the fun activities in your new home.

Reporters from the Digital Chosun recently followed 25-year-old Wang, a Chinese who have been studying here for three years, and her close friend, 양씨, on their trip to Namhae, Gyeongnam.

Also known as Korea's Maldives, Namhae is worldly recognized for its Hilton Namhae Golf and Spa Resort, and the two Chinese students left just for that.

As soon as they arrived at the resort, Wang and Yang shrieked out of delight as they first laid eyes upon the castle-like buildings. Once they stepped inside the main building and walked towards the first desk, a Chinese guide provided information on rooms and services.

"Language barrier was the hardest to overcome while traveling in Korea, but I feel so relaxed here hearing my own language," said Wang.

Gyeongnam's finest resort comes with 150 suits and 20 grand villas, all that guarantees a peerless view of the South Sea. Every room in the resort has what it's called an ocean view.

The 2-story grand villa has a modern design and comes with four bedrooms and restrooms, two living rooms, a swimming pool and a garden.

After booking a grand villa and taking a look around, Wang said, "Having a swimming pool on the first floor, I feel like I'm floating on water. I can't wait to bring all Chinese friends next time and open a small party here."

After un-packing their luggage, the two set off for a tour around the golf course. The resort provides tours around the field even for those who don't or are not planning to play the sport.

Golf only gets more thrilling when you have the ocean sprawled all around you, like at the Hilton Namhae Golf and Spa Resort.

"I've been to a sea-side golf course once with my dad in China," said Yang. "But now that I see mountains in my view here, I think my dad would absolutely fall in love with this place."

The clock struck 2 p.m. when the two finished their golf tour, and not having eaten their lunch, they rushed into the resort for mid-day bite. Among the six restaurants and bars at the resort, the two chose to eat seafood at Breeze, while facing the sparkling sea.

After their meals, the two went to Spa Oasis for a full massage, including a foot bath using what they call a "milk bath soak." The programs made full use of Korean-style spas, best known for charming wash products and delicate rubs.

The next stop was A Lounge, where they drank citrus tea and ate walnut pie for a relax. Pop music filled the air as they went along with their ritual girl-talk.
