Walk along a romantic tree-lined street while hearing the whispers of a river flowing nearby at Suseung-dae, located in Geochang, Gyeongnam. The widely popular tourist attraction provides a cool splash during the summer and a refreshing stroll in the winter.

Suseung-dae is one of Gyeongnam’s hottest spots, where a variety of fun activities (especially for the campers) are available.
Look closely at the 1,000 won bill; on it you will see Toegye Yi Hwang (1501~1570), who wrote a poem while gazing afar the beauty of Suseung-dae. Once called “Susong-dae,” Suseung-dae changed its name, which now means breathless scenery.

Walk along the pine tree hiking trail and breathe deeply within. At the end of the trail, rest at the pavilion and enjoy a moment of serenity.

One of the most interesting views at Suseung-dae is the Geobuk Rock, or the Turtle Rock. Needless to ask why the rock was given such name once you see it yourself!
Perhaps that is why television dramas and movies were frequently filmed near this place. The silvery sand and majestic pine trees surrounding Geobuk Rock create an ecstatic atmosphere added with an oriental vibe.

While heading to Suseong-dae, don’t forget to visit the various cultural assets located nearby, not to mention the Keochang International Festival of Theatre held every year from July to August.
